Pete the Pug with his bug eyed stare and his hunch,
And his lunch-box there on his lap all day.
Caus he came in most days and sat where you are,
Right where you are in the same spot.
He'd order a pint and the same one would still be there when I called time.
And you can't sit there!

It wound me right up,
He'd sit there all day,
Taking up space with his lunch-box.
Blocking the route to the toilet,
And no one would ever sit near.

But did you know how much he was worth?
It came as a shock when they unearthed,
what he had squirreled away,
all over the world

He needed help with his book keeping.
I have no idea how he survived alone for so long.
Caus he couldn't hold a pen,
and he moved like an old man,
but it turned out he was only fifty one.
And he left no heirs.

Happened to bail us out god bless his soul!
When the lockdowns came we were in such a hole
